Equipment - Diedrich D-120 All Terrain Rig

Our D-120 ATC rig is one of the most powerful all terrain production rigs currently available. This rig has nearly 22,000 lb-ft of torque at the drive spindle. For comparison, this rig produces more drilling torque than the CME 85. The D-120 is mounted on a 4 wheel drive all terrain carrier with 25" wide traction grip rubber flotation tires giving it the capability to access steep or soft terrain. The drilling capabilities include hollow stem auger up to 18" diameter, mud rotary, rock coring, air rotary/down the hole hammer, and CME continuous soil coring. Special features include 140 lb. automatic sampling hammer, rod holder, hydraulic break out wrench, 250 gallon water tank, slide out rod rack with 200' capacity, and 85gpm grout/mud pump.

The rig is transported to and from projects utilizing our tandem axle Peterbilt heavy transport truck. This rig is frequently requested by our clients due to its unique all terrain features and we are often asked to travel long distances to reach project destinations throughout California. We have made cost effective mobilizations as far as 600 miles from our base of operations in San Diego

The access capabilities along with the size and power characteristics have made this rig a popular addition to or fleet as it has given our clients a means of completing projects that would have been unsuccessful with smaller equipment.
